I made the My Melody myself using the original model for the head and body. I had to custom make the ears, bottom of her hood, and her flower.

After seeing your My Melody, I had to make a custom one too. I did what you did. I also made a Kuromi using the same method and it turned out really awesome. I also made a bunch of hello kitties but with different outfits. All I did was recolored them using photoshop. Last but not least, I also made a Dear Daniel. To make the Dear Daniel, I photoshoped a tuxedo onto hello kitty’s body, and I used the image of Hello Kitty’s whiskers to make Dear Daniel’s hair. Hopefully I’ll have time sometime this month to upload a picture of all my hello kitties, Dear Daniel, Kuromi, and My Melody for you all to see. They were all one offs (especially the ears, and daniel’s hair) so unfortunately I don’t have ear/hair templates to share.

I’ve made a red version of My Melody and many other variations of Sanrio character. I recently finally made a new version of My Melody and Kuromi (both ears are in 3D).
